In the early Eighties, my mom taught me that as a Jew, I'd come to understand that the holiest phrase in the book is "Come now, let us reason together." What I've come to understand in the nearly half-century since then, is that while two people could easily end a feud, two peoples have a much harder time, especially when they live in a land that’s home to three major religions. Religion being the antithesis of reason, after all. Closer to hope (typo intentional), another, more secular, dispute ends more amicably:
