I created this last year in response to the Uvalde school massacre and the predictable lack of action by our “leaders.“
I’ve lost track of how many cartoons I’ve drawn following America’s massacres. Probably not as many as the souls we’ve lost to our gun fetish, but it feels like it.

The Uvalde shooting gutted me.
Then 5 months later that county went deep red, voting to re elect Abbott for governor, etc. I was stunned. More guns they said.
Thoughts and prayers.
Today, I looked at the number of school lockdowns just in the US; then at the killings. At schools. In shopping malls or groceries. The trauma that can’t be erased. No more than the trauma for children in DC killed or who witnessed killings. There is no sense to be made. May their memories be for blessings.
